About Us

Four Corners Rising (4CR) is a newly established, Navajo-led organization dedicated to working with Navajo communities in Northwestern New Mexico. We are community and professional leaders with years of experience working with state, federal and Navajo Nation governments on various community initiatives to improve the lives of Navajo people.  Navajo Nation is facing many challenges and opportunities for economic prosperity. 4CR seeks to initiate partnerships with the local chapterhouse communities to help them identify resources to activate their long-held community development plans. However, many of these communities have not had running water, which has stunted their ability to provide resources for their younger generations to remain in Dinetah.  Many younger generations desire to live in the Nation but are often forced to find employment outside of Navajo Nation to raise their families.  4CR will provide planning, technical and financial resources to local chapterhouse communities that wish to improve the economic, cultural and community conditions to ensure a positive future for our children and grandchildren. 

Our Mission: We build trusted partnerships with Navajo community and chapterhouse leaders who want Diné communities and culture to flourish and local economies to grow. We support Navajo communities who’ve identified chapterhouse development projects as the mechanism to build healthy and thriving communities.  We augment community capacity by providing planning, technical assistance and financial resources to assist the implementation of their projects.

Our Vision: We honor the life and dignity of our Diné ancestors who sacrificed and maintained that Dinétah is a place for us to grow and prosper. We strive to emulate our Diné ancestors, who were industrious in how they lived and cared for the land, animals, water and each other.  Our ability to grow and prosper calls on us to conceive ideas and implement initiatives that uphold our cultural values so that future generations of Diné communities are healthy, enduring and thriving.
